Choosing a Japanese language school is an important decision. Without careful consideration, students may encounter an unsuitable environment, wasting time and costs.

There are currently over 600 Japanese language schools in Japan with different tuition fees, quality levels, and support policies. Gathering information from schools and receiving consultation from An Koi is necessary to make an accurate choice.

Skill Improvement
When preparing documents for studying abroad in Japan, Japanese language proficiency certificate is an important requirement. Applicants need to achieve at least N5 level to be eligible to submit their application.

For those who have not learned Japanese yet, they need to participate in a 3-month intensive course to complete the Minna no Nihongo Elementary I curriculum. After the course, students will have a solid foundation to take the exam and achieve the N5 certificate.

An Koi will support building a learning roadmap and introduce specialized teachers to help students learn intensively and effectively, achieve the necessary Japanese language level, and prepare the best study abroad documents.

Interview

After selecting a suitable school, applicants will participate in a direct interview with school representatives as part of the admission process. The interview results will be the basis for the school to evaluate and select students who meet the admission criteria.

Therefore, to achieve the best results, applicants need to prepare thoroughly, especially improving their Japanese language ability and practicing interview skills to create a positive impression with the school.

Certificate of Eligibility (COE) Application
The study abroad application documents for Japan include:

  • Certified copy of birth certificate.

  • High school, college, or university diploma and transcript (original and certified copy).

  • 2 certified copies of citizen ID card.

  • Certified copy of household registration book.

  • 15 passport-sized photos (white background, similar to passport photos).

  • Passport (if available).

  • Japanese language proficiency certificate (JLPT or NAT-TEST) (if available).

  • Personal documents of the financial guarantor.

  • Financial guarantee commitment form (as per template).

  • 2 certified copies of the financial guarantor's citizen ID card.


Note: All documents must be translated into Japanese before submitting to the school and immigration bureau, except for bilingual Vietnamese–English documents.

Visa Application

Study Abroad in Japan
After students receive the COE (Certificate of Eligibility) and COA (Certificate of Admission) from the Japanese school, they will verify the information. After paying tuition fees, the school sends the original COE and COA by mail, along with other documents.

Once all documents are received, students can proceed with the Japanese study abroad visa application. Go to the Japanese Embassy or Consulate to submit the visa application, including:

  • Valid passport

  • Visa application form (as per template)

  • 4.5 x 4.5 cm photo (taken within 6 months)

  • COE (original)

  • COA (original)

Only two months left before you start your study abroad journey in Japan! Prepare everything thoroughly before departure.

Review the school's instructions on entry procedures, moving to the dormitory, and meeting friends. Save phone numbers, contact addresses, and back up personal documents and necessary papers.

Don't forget to prepare prescription medications, insurance documents, and personal items to ensure a safe and smooth trip.
